Athena Sculpture

The original, thought to be from the 4th century BC, is on display at the Louvre in Paris, France. Athena was the Greek goddess of many things: wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law, justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, arts, crafts, and skill. Our goddess is made from terracotta, formulated in a method the Italians refer to as "calco", the act of packing a perfectly produced mold with terracotta clay.
